Comprehensive Housing Assessment Presentation
Watch the recording of our recent Heartland 2050 Housing & Development Committee meeting as Meridith Dillon, Program Associate with The Sherwood Foundation, presents initial findings from a regional Comprehensive Housing Assessment.
Meridith, formerly a planner with the City of Omaha, presents an overview of housing needs and identifies affordable housing initiatives to support equitable growth in the community. The area of study encompasses Omaha, Douglas County, Sarpy County, and Council Bluffs.
Who Should View
Everyone is welcome to view the presentation, but those working in affordable housing may be particularly interested.
Heartland 2050 was created in 2014 by MAPA, as a long range vision for the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro region. Implementation committees, including the Housing & Development Committee, were formed to focus work in core areas of impact. The committee’s vision is that together, our region will be known for welcoming, connected and lively communities that offer residents a range of housing choices and locations.
Housing & Development Committee meetings are held on the third Thursday of every 2 months from 3-4:30 pm. Please visit www.heartland2050.org/action-plan/housing-development to sign up for the committee!
