1 Million Cups Featuring Grace Thomas
Grace Thomas, Sustainability Analyst at Verdis Group, will be speaking about sustainability in startups at the Startup Collaborative for the weekly 1 Million Cups event March 21st from 9 am to 10 am.
Grace joined the Verdis Group team in June of 2017. She recently earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Colgate University in central New York.
During her time in New York, Grace worked with the Glimmerglass Opera Festival in Cooperstown, New York, taking baseline measurements on a variety of sustainability metrics and culminating a document with several strategies the festival can pursue. She also worked extensively with Colgate’s Office of Sustainability, notably leading and planning a redesign of recycling and waste centers in upperclassmen residencies.
Grace has already demonstrated expertise in analyzing large amounts of data for clients like Kearney Public Schools and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. She also has led the creation and analysis of Verdis Group’s surveys for clients like The Nature Conservancy and OneWorld Community Health Centers. Her combined experience in thinking about both operational and social systems will be great assets to nearly all of Verdis Group’s clients.
Grace is already plugging into the Omaha community – getting involved with Girls, Inc. Her Gallup Strengths are Arranger, Harmony, Empathy, Learner, and Input.
